- Significant difference in appearance. Freedom Finishes is a slower flashing and curing product vs. Acrylic Urethanes. Today’s Acrylic Urethanes are designed to dry quickly and deliver a painted/plastic looking appearance. Freedom Finishes slower curing formulation delivers a glass-like “freshly baked porcelain” looking appearance. During independent lab testing a 40 year coatings specialist noted: “This is the most porcelain looking like product I have ever seen across the Epoxy and Urethane product set; nothing is close to this.”
- Superior adhesion. The secret to Freedom Finishes durability lies within its scientific formulations. The compounds used in Freedom Finishes are designed to produce a molecular reaction when applied to the prepared surface of a bathtub, tile, shower or sink. This “molecular-fusion” process allows the Freedom Finishes enamel to deeply inter-lock to the existing surface allowing the materials to fuse together. In fact, the bond between FF and the original surface becomes so strong that once it’s cured, the product cannot be stripped. Competitive products just don’t have these exceptional adhesion properties.
- Significant advantage in thermal durability. You can’t see it but when a tub is filled with hot water, the heat from the water is absorbed in the iron or steel of a tub. This transfer of heat energy causes a tub to expand and contract. FF innovative siliconized epoxy formulation has “substantial thermal stability,” which is the ability to handle tub expansion/contraction caused by heating and cooling of the tub over time. Once applied the coating has an elasticity which allows it to absorb the expansion and contraction of the tub due to transfer of heat. Today’s Acrylic Urethane products are designed to dry fast. They tend to be much more brittle. They do not have the elastic properties of Freedom Finishes and over time, they are prone to cracking and peeling especially around drains and expansion points within a tub/shower.

- Proven 10-15+ years of tub life with proper application. We consistently see tubs last 12+ years and not uncommon to see 15+.
- More chemical resistant surface. Freedom Finishes coatings withstand bleach and many cleaning solvents. Bathmats can be used on the refinished surface allowing for a cleaner looking and more maintenance free bathtub. Acrylic Urethanes are much less chemical resistant and many cannot withstand the use of bathmats.
- 100% Isocyanate Free and dramatically reduced odors. Freedom Finishes is 100% Isocyanate Free. Freedom Finishes has dramatically reduced odors when compared to many other products in the market. Additionally, many acrylic urethanes have Isocyanates which can very harmful to the technician and homeowner.
